IGOR trailer

I’m not sold on the computer game like animation style and nor am I convinced that John Cusack is at all right for the voice of the lead but apart from that, Igor looks like fun.

I’ve always been fond of the plot - a new and knowing version of the classic Frankenstein fable whose twist of course is that it’s from the point of view of the usual background character of Igor, the mad scientist’s assistant.

This one comes from the Weinstein’s company of animation but once again I might as well say it - Igor beats seeing another Shrek movie…

PULL THE SWITCH AND SEE IT IN HD!

Opening September 16th (UK) and October 17th (UK), Igor comes from director Anthony Leondis (STV Lilo & Stitch 2) and has a voice cast that includes John Cusack, Steve Buscemi, Eddie Izzard, Jennifer Coolidge, Jay Leno, John Cleese, Sean Hayes and Molly Shannon.

  1. Looks atrocious, I hope no-one sees it.

Why do we need celebrities to do voices? None of them are particularly good at it, and it’s nothing but distracting. There’s plenty of awesome voice actors out there, use them.

  2. Seriously?!

I thought that was the most original trailer for an animated film i’ve seen recently. Way better than kung-fu panda…(really? kung-fu panda? thats the best film idea they can come up with? lame.) these actors are actually all funny on their respective shows.

  3. Looks ok to me.

John Cusack isn’t going to sell this film. I agree with getting professional voice actors. One of the reasons I love TMNT. You don’t end up thinking you’re watching so-and-so in the role, but you just see the character. I think Cusack won’t fall into that situation.
