Want ANOTHER WAY TO DIE? Now you can watch & listen to that shitty new Bond theme!

Not content with allowing the music from the official QUANTUM OF SOLACE theme to drive you to suicide, you now have “Another Way to Die” by watching the music video for the Jack White and Alicia Keyes collaboration at the same time!

Great…

The sad thing is, I know I have to hear that music at least once more when I see QUANTUM OF SOLACE in the theatre at the end of the month.

Oh well, at least I can skip that bit on DVD.

  1. Here again Matt, you miss the mark. Not only did you not give people the time to explore this piece without bias, you post this with the intentions to stir people towards your hater like ways.

I for one appreciate Jack White’s work, as well as Alicia Keys’, and think that this tune will work fine for the Bond franchise.

If you’re so fucking savvy Matt, why don’t you take this up with the Broccolli’s and add your name to the producer credits. Otherwise, shut the hell up and let Quantum of Solace, as well as this tune, be what it is.

  2. I really dig this song. My only complaint is that Alicia Keys is so muted in the production of this song that there’s really no reason to include her. JW is playing piano, drums, guitar, and singing lead and the song has an overall Raconteurs/White Strips signature feel to it. I don’t always love JW’s work, but this one is cool with me.

  4. Surely to have bias, is to have something to gain.

I.E. Politicians putting spin on a piece of news for the gain of their political party. Or a football manager who will lambast the referee for giving a penalty to the opposition even though he knows it really was a foul.

Believe me, I have absolutely nothing to gain in dissing this music video.

  5. Once again I’m baffled that someone with such shit opinions runs a movie website.

Awesome video for a damn fine song. I like how subtle they are plugging it’s a promo for a Bond film. Much better than the crap video You Know My Name got.

  7. Nice try Matt. Even as a joke, that proposed song is contrived and humorless. Believe you me, I have no intention to indict you as a mere saucy pundit, but the politics in your defensive makes you sound no better than the Nancy Grace of fanboy-dom. This has nothing to do with football, as there is no foul here; nor are you a coach.

However you do run a website. Is not your goal to have people log on and discuss/share/debate thoughts and ideas? And is it not counter productive to condemn something so quickly out of the gate? I must admit, it does make for interesting, good, clean conflict. You’ve been wrong before, Matt; leave your opinions for the articles themselves and stop waiving people down with your shit talk.

  8. It’s dandy that you despise it, Matt. Just stop trying to get other people to hate it with you. There’s a crowd that thinks this song will do just fine. And you need to learn to respect that so that others can reciprocate.
