A little bit of sad news today, my co-news writer Will Reynolds has had to give up writing for the site because of full time work commitments, something which I can fully understand because writing about the latest movie developments each and everyday, is really hard…. especially with a 35-40 hour a week job.

So I just wanted to say Thank You Will, and good luck for the future. The website has grown since your first article in August and the 185 articles in between were always written to a highly professional and entertaining manner.

So as one writer leaves, another opportunity begins…

Before you read any further, you should read some of the conditions of applying…

• You MUST be able to commit to the position and be serious about your application. This includes hitting deadlines, filling out tasks as assigned by us and being contactable.

• You MUST be able to write to a good standard and MUST absolutely be passionate about film. We don’t mind so much spelling and grammatical mistakes (I make them all the time) but when they become disruptive to the articles written then this becomes a huge problem.

• You MUST be a regular film go-er, ideally seeing 2-3 movies per month… and be knowledgable about the history of film.

• It would be advantageous if you had some experience with photoshop or some other image manipulation program. It would also be advantageous if you have previous experience writing for a website or blog.

NEWS WRITER (3 positions available)

CRITERIA: Visiting a range of 15-20 websites per day (at a time convenient to you), along with the other writers working for the site you would be able to write about a news story of some interest for the site.

You will be expected to contribute 2-3 stories per day. People with a sense of humor tend to be more suited for this role.

There will be no pay for this role, the advantages being getting your name out their on a respected website, the chance for free screenings to films, interview opportunities and free dvds. There may also be monthly pay rewards based on performances.
