Chris Moyles, a larger than life UK ‘funny’ man who hosts the Breakfast Show on Radio 1, has been in L.A. for the past week broadcasting his show and interviewing a whole host of celebrities. Yesterday the big man caught up with JJ Abrams and discussed STAR TREK, CLOVERFIELD, FRINGE and LOST – for 40 minutes!

Meanwhile, last week JJ Abrams revealed that cult actor William Shatner had been offered a cameo role in the upcoming STAR TREK movie but in the end they decided it just wasn’t right. Yesterday, however, Captain James T. Kirk himself has come out on his video blog and stated nobody ever offered him any role!

I love Shatner as Kirk but the point is not that its impossible to bring him back. its impossible to bring him back in a way thats credible and not just sad, contrived sci-fi jerking off.
