Will somebody take the camera away from Uwe Boll?

xbox-bloodrayne2.jpgUwe Boll who incredibly has 3 movies in the bottom 100 on IMDB (all video game adaptations) has confirmed that he will be shooting a sequel to one of those films…. BloodRayne.

The movie which was released last year didn’t actually have that bad of a cast with Kristanna Loken, Michelle Rodriguez, Ben Kingsley and the super cool Michael Madsen all starring but because Boll is so inept as a film maker the film turned out to be worse than shit and some theatres would even refuse to show it once the prints had been sent out!

So god knows why anyone thinks a sequel is going to work? The movie will be titled BloodRayne II: Deliverance with Dead or Alive star Natassia Malthe locked in for the lead role.

Some quotes from the man himself…

“I’m excited to do a sequel to BloodRayne and this time in the Wild West. I’m a big fan of Sergio Leone and John Ford,”

Note to Boll: Name dropping cinematic legends is not going to make people think of you in the same light as them or make them want to see your shit sequel… END NOTE.

You can read the whole official press release for Bloodrayne II: Deliverance by clicking here but seriously don’t waste your time, this guy only gets projects because he is willing to finance and chuck away his own money in a desperate vain to become a respected film maker.

He makes Paul W.S. Anderson look like Orson Welles.

source – bloody disgusting

Gotta kind of admire the guy a little bit. Sure he is the modern-day equivalent of Edward D. Wood, Jr. But dammit, the guy just loves making movies, or rather, making profits from movies. Somehow, they manage to make profits, so he continues to do damage to cinema.

However, I think this sequel is a bad idea. While it might be hard to imagine, there MUST be one or two video games that have not been turned into movies yet that he can tackle.

As long as he stays away from stuff like Grand Theft Auto, Splinter Cell and Halo (games that have a chance to be good movies) then he is pretty harmless directing crappy video game adaptations.
