White Noise 2 pulled from it’s U.S. release

whitenoise2poster.jpgEarlier last month, White Noise: The Light, the sequel to the surprise 2005 hit White Noise fluttered by with a whimper when it was released here in the U.K. A really shitty trailer and the lack of star power (remember Michael Keaton hadn’t done too much acting at the time, so many were curious just to see him acting again) contributed to it’s lackluster performance.

Also the fact that the original White Noise wasn’t all that good probably played it’s part.

Fangoria are reporting that the sequel won’t make it to U.S. theatres and will instead be sent straight to DVD. Director Patrick Lussier probably should have seen it coming, 3 of his previous 4 movies have suffered the same fate, with only Dracula 2000 securing a U.S. release…. but in all truth that should have gone straight to DVD also.

I can’t help but feel a little sorry for lead actor Nathan Fillion, who I hope doesn’t get stuck in B-Movie hell like a certain Bruce Campbell did in the 90’s.

Wow, that is disappointing for Fallon. Mind you, he could try and pick his projects a little better couldn’t he?
