Details of the 20th Century Fox/Warner Bros. settlement have emerged, with /film filling us on in the details…

  • Fox are receiving between $5 and $10 million upfront, which will include the $1.4 million of development and legal fees for the case.
  • Fox will get a gross total of around 5% and 8.5% of the final worldwide box office gross. Which if the movie makes say $400 million worldwide, is very substantial.
  • Fox will also be in line to receive financial incentives from future WATCHMEN sequels, spin-off’s etc. If Warner Bros. are so tempted to go to the well again like they did with 300.

Maybe they should’ve made Justice League after all. At least they would’ve made profit.
