Forest Whitaker thinks to himself, WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD!

So I saw The Incredible Hulk last night at the peak time showing of 7.45pm at my local cinema which shamefully was about 30% full!
Pretty dire for the opening night of a popular comic book superhero, especially when some weeks prior Iron Man had been completely full and over the last few years there has not been an empty seat for the opening nights of X-Men 3, Spider-Man 3 and even Fantastic Four 2.
Was this consistent with the rest of you guys from the U.K. who went to see it?
Ok, so the hype talk is over. The movie is now in theatres and it’s time for your feedback. It’s time to grade Marvel over their second effort of 2008, did they hit a home run like Iron Man or are they back to square one with the Hulk after Ang Lee’s dissapointing 2003 effort.
When I get chance I shall review it myself but on a grade of A-Z, the movie would get a zzzzzzzzzzz with me, as in a Yawn! Jesus, I was so bored. CGI vs. CGI, Norton/Tyler no chemistry, Norton boring, over-acting from all corners, lack of plot and I could go on and on and on.
I thought it was terrible, but that doesn’t seem to be consistent with the rest of OWF. But how about you (if you haven’t seen it yet but plan to, then wait until you come back to give it a vote)…
I went to see it because my son wanted to see it. I liked the parts that took place in brazil. But after that i thought it slowed down and got a bit boring. The ending wasn’t all that, but as soon as i heard tony starks’ voice i really woke up and got excited.

You thought it was “terrible”? (Insert Kyle Broflovski voice here) Really…?!
I mean, I’m all for everyone having their own opinion… but for someone to genuinely think this perfectly fine (in fact, I thought great) film was “terrible” reeks to me of making a decision before seeing it and refusing to budge when proven wrong.
Just my opinion, of course. ;o)

I really enjoyed it, it was the Hulk movie I wanted to see back in 03. Im happy that they gave the property another shot.

So, Kane, you seriously think anybody who says this film is “terrible” is just lying simply to put down the movie? That’s quite an offensive stance, especially when applied to such a terrible movie. ;)
I guess it is a very comfortable theory for someone pleased by mediocrity, so congrats on that.

This film was pretty good it had its weaker points but it wasn’t horrible but if you were like me and went and also watched The Happening then The Hulk is made to look like a cinematic masterpiece because M. Night’s latest movie may just be the worst movie and worst concept for a movie to ever hit the earth.

ZarathustrA, wasn’t it kind of obvious that I was just illustrating a point? Perhaps you have no idea who Kyle Broflovski is… since the tone was purely one of shock.
Anyway… I’m hardly one to be pleased with mediocrity. If I was, I’d have loved ‘X3′, ‘Transformers’ and ‘Indiana Jones & The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull’ - three films I didn’t really like much at all but still wouldn’t call “terrible” or rate with a “zzzzzzzz”.
I just think semi-professional movie reviewers need to choose their words more carefully. Palming ‘The Incredible Hulk’ off as “terrible” is as daft as the guy who told me the other day that ‘Transformers’ was “flawless”.

Kane is clearly a studio plant. Just ignore him.

That’s hilarious…
I’ve been accused of a lot in my time but to be thought of as a “studio plant” takes the cake.
Kinda cool, come to think of it.

Lol!
@Kane: I know the studios employ plants for these kind of movies when they come out, and it always surprises me when people get so narky at commentators just because they didn’t like a movie. Hence the accusation. Apologies if I’m off the mark.
@Steve. What’s your problem anyway? It’s a movie site not a school playground. Grow up.
