The last time we did this, we got a pretty for what our audience thought of Watchmen, so as this is the biggest geek release since that movie, I’m here once again to ask what you thought of Hollywood’s latest offering for our tentpole tastebuds.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the fourth in the X-Men saga, which of course became subject of much conterversary when a workprint was leaked online some weeks back, and whose damage to it’s financial takings we should see in full effect in about 24 hours. From what I’ve read, the workprint that was leaked is almost identical to the movie that is now playing in theatres, with just the added special effects now in place.
I have now seen the movie, and I completely hate virtually every single frame of it. Wolverine is a complete mess from start to finish, a completely misguided film that shows that got everything from the casting, to the hiring of the writers and directors, to the whole idea of where this prequel should have gone, completely wrong.
Even Hugh Jackman puts in one of his worst performances and looks so uncomfortable playing this character in this outing, when you would think by now he could play Logan in his sleep.
My favourite review of the movie currently online comes from good old Roger Ebert, and his last line makes me laugh so hard…
Doesn’t “X-Men Origins” at least provide a learning experience for Logan about the origins of Wolverine? Hollow laugh. Because we know that the modern Wolverine has a form of amnesia, it cannot be a spoiler for me to reveal that at the end of “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” he forgets everything that has happened in the film. Lucky man.
Now it’s time to tell us what you thought of the movie, and where you hope the X-Men franchise can go from here. If it will survive this hack job…

It had money grubbing disaster written on it from the start and when the ridiculous trailers started emerging this was evident.
Utter crap. And I’ve just noticed that about 3 of the characters on the poster barely even appear in the film. Filler much?
I knew this movie was going to be bad from the get go, but Deadpool’s in it, so I had to see it.
Big mistake. One of the worst comic book movies ever, and that’s saying something.
A total travesty of both mediums. I know people like to use their creative license but it should only be taken so far. This film is trash along the lines of the last stand. The only thing worse than the clouded direction is the poor excuse for writing. Tip: just fucking follow the comics, they are good and audiences will like them.
FUCK FOX and every movie they make
lol thats why i dont go to the movies anymore thanx to crap like this but i gotta say Terminator has got a lock on me so i must go see that one even if batman is in it LOL WHERE IS IT ? ouch my troat
I agree Fuck Fox
Fox people are fucking idiots to the nth degree!
A pedestrian film.
I had two free tickets but I found the film serviceable enough. I couldn’t disagree more about Jackman looking uncomfortable in the role. He fills the role perfectly, always has, always will. He was just as good here as he was in past X films. Jackman in this role reminds me of a young Clint Eastwood, even looks like the guy.
Again, nothing memorable or mindblowing. It was just average summer entertainment, but with good acting from Jackman, Schrieber, and Reynolds in his brief time as Wade.
wow so much hate. it was entertaining. i guess theres too many fans out there who are clutching too tightly to their comic books in agony.
everyone did great in the movie with their roles. and the action bits were cool, but of course the story was predictable.
the most memorable: wolverine and sabretooth vs deadpool or Weapon X. should at least see the movie once
a shitty movie if if was trying to do something different and be original but i went into this movie knowing jits cheesy…knowing it wasn’t going to followw the comic and just made to entertain and i totally put the shitty posy effects oput of my head and did something i dont normally do…sit and enjoy being at the theatre cause its nothing like anything else to me and personaally i laughed at the effects and just naturally had a good time…honestly you know going into this movie knowing its gonnna suck so at least try and have fun time watching it. so it sucked but i had a good time watching it
ps way better then the other xmen movies they sucked at showing the mutants and representing them in a cool way i actully like these mutants more…way more badass
but dont get me wrong i hate fox and all money film grubbing whores and are destroying the world of film but i was enetertained nonetheless
I just got back-It was stunningly awful. Almost no reedeming value and I like X-Men 3. No comparison. This was Elektra bad. Straight to DVD bad. Fox should be embarassed. .
