WGA Strike coming to a close?

This story hits the web just about every Sunday, probably because the trades don’t have much else to talk about in the industry’s day off from work but we can still hope.

Variety say the three month long WGA strike which has no doubt done it’s job in shaking up the industry looks about to come to a close.

Hallujah is what I say…

Talks between WGA leaders and top studio execs on Friday and Saturday have been productive enough to generate cautious optimism that a settlement to the more than three-month-old strike may soon be at hand…Neither WGA or AMPTP reps would comment on the status of talks in accordance with the news blackout both camps have agreed to.

Though does that mean projects like the ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK remake and of course JLA can reassemble? Maybe the strike does have it’s benefits.
