jdc35_313a.jpgTodd Haynes’ ambitious biopic of artist Bob Dylan has found a North American and U.K. distributor in the form of The Weinstein Company. The movie titled I’m Not There, is the first Hollywoodized version of his life that the artist has approved and it should hit theatres sometime this year.

I’m Not There depicts Bob Dylan through various different stages of his life, where each new time period will have a different actor playing Dylan. The actors include Christian Bale, Richard Gere, Heath Ledger and even a women…. Cate Blanchett (image on the left!).

The film is also said to be told in a poetic type narrative that echoes Dylan’s own songwriting. This project sounds quite unique and interesting, not least in the different actors playing Dylan.

Do you think you will be able to get into a movie where the character you are following keeps getting a completlely new look with a different actor?

Hey, I’ve just noticed, Batman and The Joker will be playing the same character in a movie!

source - variety, coming soon

I’ve been waiting for this film for a while now, I’ve been following all the news I can get my hands on. I’m very glad you gave an update here. I absolutley love Bob Dylan and I can’t wait for this picture.

P.S. Somehow, I think Cate Blanchett is near perfect for the look of Bob Dylan.
