TWILIGHT only fun for fans?

As expected, the critics have come down pretty harsh on TWILIGHT. Not quite calling it unwatchable but falling more down on the negative than the positive side.

But this movie is critic proof at the end of the day. Stephenie Meyers books have a huge legion of fans that will make this movie $60 million plus this weekend and eventually a billion dollar film franchise. Probably not HARRY POTTER but maybe as big as Buffy the Vampire Slayer come movie three.

Rotten Tomatoes scored it at 44% from 77 reviews, 43 of them negative.

IMDB give it 5.5 after 2,195 votes.

But both Harry Knowles and Roger Ebert, two critics I respect a great deal found it entertaining but not a patch on the Swedish horror LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, which our very own Ray DeRousse called the greatest vampire film of all time.

If you do see TWILIGHT, make sure you leave a comment as to how you found the movie. Sadly, as most of us are based in the U.K, it’s gonna be a while before we can review it as it doesn’t open for another month here.

Matt, did you just say you respect Harry Knowles???? Harry’s got some of the dirtiest hands in film criticism. His opinions are bought and sold like Jelly Bellies. He gives actual whores a bad name.

Gimme a break.

Hahaha, I was going to say something similar about Harry Knowles too.

I actually think Harry’s reviews are written by his head hitting the keyboard as he is rammed from behind by studio flunkies, who generously leave “gifts” for him on his backside when they’re done. Hence the constant references to anal sex in Harry’s reviews that Matt loves and respects so much.

I have read about this movie and today have seen it. Oh it was a experience of a life time. I feel like Harry porter in action. Pretty dreamy some time. With lot of action. If the loving vampire is blood seeking it will be more attractive not much horror as expected but romance was extravagant and pleasure to watch. http://www.80millionmoviesfree.com is releasing it fantastic love story.
