Joblo are reporting that Yahoo will be the first site to have the brand new trailer up for the much anticipated Transformers movie when it is released on the web tommorow.
Here’s what director Michael Bay said of the trailer…
Today I just finished the new teaser for Christmas and I think it’s AWESOME! The trailer mixing Guru who does all the big summer movies turned to me and said with a little more ump – it was ‘fucking awesome.’
I think some of my films have had good teasers but this one is just makes a statement. It’s hard edged to show we are not a silly ‘toy’ movie. We show just hints of robots – and almost none of our epic shots are in this teaser, but the movie just looks big. I had a room full of 20 Tranformers adult geeks, and they all applauded at the end.”
You can watch the timer countdown by clicking here. At the time of posting there is around 1 day and 10 hours left until it’s released which would make it around 7pm UK time on Wednesday evening.
As someone who knows nothing about the franchise, I will be interested in seeing what all the fuss is about.

Here’s all you need to know:
1) cars and trucks turn into giant robots who speak in bad Star Trek/Roman centurion-type dialogue and kick the crap out of each other.
2) if you forced director Michael Bay to leave his camera stationary and/or not cut away from a shot for more than 2 seconds, his brain would go “squish” inside his skull and would then start to drip out of his ears.
That last one might not be true but I’d say it’s worth a try, anyway.
As much as I like Michael Bay’s films, I think that quote is a little OVER-HYPED. I am, though, still very intrigued to see the trailer tomorrow, and still have an interest in seeing the movie because of its premise and who doesn’t want to see big-ass robots fighting over a small cube?
As for this quote, I think Michael Bay is just trying to exaggerate the quality of the trailer to make fans happy, and potential viewers more excited. I’ll see if I’m wrong when it comes out tomorrow.
This movie needs ZERO hype. Everyone even remotely familiar with this concept will line up and pay whatever is asked of them to see it.
They need to watch the hype. It’s starting to give me “Godzilla ‘98″ vibes, and the backlash against that film was legendary.
I just don’t have any interest in this movie. I was never a fan of the comics or show whatever, and along with Spiderman and Star Wars I have a feeling this is going to be one of them movies that everyone loves but I just have no interest in.
