Three recognisable faces have joined the cast of the Virgina Madsen led horror flick The Haunting in Connecticut which is being setup at Gold Circle Films and Lionsgate.
The movie is about the spooky events that happen to Madsen’s family and her cancer ridden teenage son when they move to a house that is a former mortuary.
Regular T.V. actor Kyle Gallner will play the son.
Elias Koteas (pictured left) who was superbly cast as one of the investigators questioning the possible killer in Zodiac will play the priest and fellow cancer patient who Madsen turns to for help and Martin Donovan from Insomnia will play Madsen’s husband.
Peter Cornwell directs from an Adam Simon and Tim Metcalfe script, with shooting to begin any day now in Winnipeg.
So the movie is kind of a new take on The Exorcist then? I can dig that and there’s some talented performers in this group. A good old spooky ghost story that doesn’t involve pretty twenty something actors is something we could all be in need of.
I’m hopeful on this one. And Koteas as a priest? I hope he gets tons of screen-time, did I mention he was great in Zodiac?

I would like to know when is the film going to be realesed. I currently
own two copies of the “A Haunting In Connecticut” from the show
on the Discovery Channel. I own almost all the DVD haunting collections.
