Fox Searchlight have given THE WRESTLER a December 19th U.S. release date just days after picking up the most hotly talked about movie coming out of the Toronto International Film Festival.
Darren Aronofsky’s movie starring a “revitalised” Mickey Rourke is expected to start small then grow wider as the weeks go on, giving it every opportunity to be talked about for Academy Award nominations.
Hopefully some trailers, posters and general marketing are only weeks ago because those of us who weren’t at the TIFF haven’t really seen much from this exciting release.
