The Wachowski Brothers are no more!
I wonder how many times I slip up and keep calling them The Wachowski Brothers in the future?
Apparently, Larry Wachowski has completed his sex change and now goes by the name Lana Wachowski… meaning we can no longer call The Matrix directors the Wachwoski Brothers. We can call them the Wachowksi’s. Just not the brothers part.
Lana has been taking female hormone therapy for a good few years now and it seems her treatment is complete. The Wachowki’s are expected to discuss this officially after Speed Racer is out in theatres because they are afraid of the negative backlash that it might bring for their kid friendly film.
The image below is of the pair from a good number of years back (Larry on the right) and then below that is a recent appearance of Lana on the left showing the change. We wish her well for the future and for her new life and here’s hoping Speed Racer kicks ass!

I’ve been calling them the “Wachowski Siblings” since “The Matrix : Reloaded ” when rumors first started about Larry becoming “Lana”
