Larry, Moe and Curly…better known as The Three Stooges are coming to the big screen. Fist Look Studios have acquired the rights to make a movie based on the American slapstick comedy trio that ruled the comedy scene for decades.
An adaptation has apparentaly been in development for years, most recently with Warner Brothers who had the rights to shoot a Stooges movie based on a Farellys brothers script but it never got out of pre-production stages.
First Look who now hold the rights jointly with C3 Entertainment are planning to use the Farelly brothers script that Warner Brothers had, and are intending to stay true to the original idea of the Stooges.
Well it could be fun, it all depends on what three guys they cast in the roles. If they have good chemistry together then it should work out to be pretty fun. I’m sensing a Laurel and Hardy movie adaptation next.

i like the idea of this….i swear though, if they decide to get the frat pack actors involved in this movie, i will seriously shoot the farrely brothers/anyone involved in casting.

There’s been no movement on the flick since October 2006 so it doesn’t seem to be a big priority at the moment. Has tons of potential though.
