A new poster is online for the upcoming horror movie The Reaping, but the imagery looks strangely familiar. The creatures in the air that kinda look like birds, the water, the grey skies, the creepy white church tower that looks oddly like the one Hitchcock used.
Anyone else getting The Birds vibe?

“Hilary Swank plays a former Christian missionary who lost her faith after her family was tragically killed, and has since become a world-renowned expert in disproving religious phenomena. But when she investigates a small Louisiana town that is suffering from what appear to be the Biblical plagues, she realizes
that science cannot explain what is happening and she must regain her faith to
combat dark forces threatening the community”.
So Swank is playing Mel Gibson’s character in Signs, who comes to a town like Silent Hill, in a movie that has a poster ripping off The Birds.
Just because it’s a rip off (aren’t most movies anyway) it doesn’t neccesarily mean it’s going to be bad. I do question though what two-time Oscar winning actress Hilary Swank was thinking when she signed up for this film.
