It would seem there are more viral campaigns from Warner Brothers in reference to The Dark Knight. Is The Joker at it again?
The site can be found at http://www.whysoserious.com/ and is done in a similar manner to the last viral campaign.
The site features a clock that runs down and wouldn’t ya know it, when that timer ends… the Warner Brothers panel at the San Diego Comic-Con begins. The website even has directions to the Con!
Is this too obviously a fake or could it be real? Are they going to be presenting something at the Con? Could it be the teaser trailer which has already seen a bootlegged release in the last 12 hours?
Guess we will find out soon… boy it’s going to be hard work keeping up with all this news!

You know, I always HATED the way Tim Burton handled the Batman franchise. His storytelling style is so quirky -it’s pure-D shit. I actually considered Schumaker’s sensibilities to be more pleasing, but the stories he told were horrifyingly bad.
So when I heard that some Brit was going to take over the Batman franchise I had mixed emotions. 1.) I didn’t like the “feel” of English fare, but 2.) It was hard to imagine anyone screwing Batman up more than Burton.
Nolan surpassed ALL my expectations. Frank Miller couldn’t have done a better job. And the way he’d handling this -pure genius. He’s making the Joker into a real threat and doing a fantastic job of building the anticipation. Finally a director who’s not a crack-head assh*le like Burton or a complete f*ckup like Schumaker. Warner Brothers better not let anyone other than Nolan touch this franchise!

I grew up with the Tim Burton movies so I’m really biased towards them. I truly love his different take with Batman in 1989 and I honestly don’t think I would be a Batman fan to this day without it.
Batman Returns… although not a great Batman film… it is a superb ‘art’ film and tells a great story with some larger than life characters. It’s a German expressionistic masterpiece with stunning performances from Danny De Vito and Michelle Pfeiffer.
Christopher Nolan has done a great job with the Batman franchise but he won’t want to do these movies forever. I think his limit will be three (i wouldnt rule out him only doing two) and then of course your going to have to go out and find someone else to direct the film.
The end of the Batman franchise, just like Bond and Spider-Man… will be a gloomy one. Franchises rarely ever finish on a great movie, then usually die out with some crap at the end… and whether it’s 4 years down the line of 10… we all know it will happen some day.
Wouldn’t suprise me if Frank Miller takes over on Batman when Nolan is gone.
