George Miller could be ready to go ahead with a reboot of the post-apoclayptic franchise which launced unknown Australian actor Mel Gibson into movie stardom, as The Hurt Locker’s Jeremy Renner claims that he he has screentested and met with Miller for a role in Mad Max which he claims is gearing up to film next year.
Renner doesn’t reveal what role but he would seem a good fit for this generation’s Max. Also we are just presuming here, but I’m guessing this will be a reboot/remake and not a Superman Returns-esque later chapter but again, I’m only guessing.
Would love to know who he is up against for the role… because I would say Renner is a damn fine candidate for this part.
