You may remember back in November, we posted the strange news that Quentin Tarantino was set to star in a Japanese Western. Well the trailer has now found it’s way online and Tarantino is no-where to be seen, so we can presume his role must have been very minor.
The movie titled Sukiyaki Western Django is helmed by Takashi Miike and is apparently set during “The Genpei Wars” of the 1100’s Japan but strangely enough is shot in the English language!

It’s looks super stylish, the gunshots sound great, there’s tons of shots of people looking cool and just staring. They weren’t kidding when they said they were shooting a Spaghetti Western.
The movie comes out at the end of next month in Japan, and let’s keep our fingers crossed it finds a distributor over here like The Host did. I guess with shooting the movie in English, they are indeed aiming for that wider audience.
