McG. The director who gave us both CHARLIE’S ANGELS movies and last year’s WE ARE MARSHALL.
We reported just over a month ago that McG was the guy who the Halycon Co. were eyeing to resurrect the franchise and Moviehole have heard from a ‘top source’ that it’s a done deal.
You know there was a real chance to do something different with this franchise. Start all over and try and move as far away from Jonathan Mostow’s movie as possible. Bring in a new Terminator. Set the movie far away from the last three… take it in a new direction.
Instead they have the same writers from the last movie and the same old crap studio decisions over who should be in charge of it, in what really looks like a big rush-job of a film.
How can we trust this director with the TERMINATOR franchise when he can’t even trust his real frikkin’ name?

Deep down I’m still a fan of the Terminator series. Even with McG at the helm (presumably screwing the franchise up further) I’ll end up watching the new movie.

Congratulations, the Terminator franchise has just lost a viewer. OK, I’ll probably watch it on DVD but I won’t waste money at the cinema to watch anything this talentless hack trots out. This is coming from someone who really enjoyed the pilot episode of The Sarah Connor Chronicles, by the way.

Another quality production from the genius behind FastLane.
What’s that, you say? You don’t remember that show? It starred Bill Bellamy and Peter Facinelli. Lasted all of one season. It was CLASSIC McG:
Fast cars, hot chicks, dumbass one-liners and about as smart as a dung beetle on crack. Surprised you missed it.
I’m getting goosebumps just THINKING about how great this one is going to be!
