Call me crazy, but with all the stuff that’s been coming out regarding TERMINATOR SALVATION: THE FUTURE BEGINS I’m slowly building up a buzz for this film.
There are three main reasons.
Firstly: I don’t hate McG. Mr CHARLIE’S ANGELS has a great visual eye and I get the feeling that once he gets a good script he’ll make a film that will surprise people. This is his big chance to prove to people that he isn’t a lame duck director and I bet he knows it.
Secondly: Cameron’s movies aren’t sacred to me. I like them a lot but I’ve never had that strong attachment to them as some do. Arnie is also way too associated with politics to be taken seriously as a Terminator so they are making the right choice by starting over.
Thirdly: Christian Bale. The guy has been in a few turkeys but you know he’ll give 100% commitment to a role. I trust Bale’s judgment, REIGN OF FIRE was a while back and the number of crappy films he’s involved in is getting less and less.
As for the film’s plot, not much was known about it until those CHUDDIE chaps got a hold of some story spoilers.

John Connor is not the main character in the first film, the lead guy is called Marcus.
Connor will have an expanded role in the second movie (this story is planned to run over a trilogy).
T4 is a full on macho testostarne flick. However female company comes in the form of Resistance pilot Blair.
Expect to see T-600s and Kyle Reese.
The film will take influence from THE MATRIX, with some epic robot battles expected.
I think the best thing that can happen with these new TERMINATOR films is to forget all the previous films and just really delve into the concept. A post-apocalytic movie with cyborgs facing off against humans could be potentially wild, plus there’s also scope to explore deeper ideas like what it is to be human and what it is to be a Terminator.

Awww, so my pitch for Terminator Kids wasn’t considered appropriate then?
Never mind. The presence of McG and the idea of it being a “full-on macho testosterone flick” doesn’t fill me with confidence, but if they go deep and explore the interesting themes then a new cybporg-cycle could be very good indeed.

THE REAL ENDING.
John is the main character in the film. Marcus is a new infiltrator terminator.
Skynet developed Infiltrator terminators to mimic humans and infiltrate the human Resistance. (Marcus is the latest one capable of mimic emotions and other human reactions (pain etc)
Marcus is send from the future to once again kill John Conor.
At the end Marcus fights with John conor and somehow John manage to reprogram a T800.
Marcus almost destroys T800 and attack once again john.
The nearly destroyed T800 grab Marcus from the head allowing john to shoot it in his human heart.
The story end with John leaving Skynets Terminator factory blowing everything to the air.
a few more notes.
Motor terminator are far more capable machines. If you see the pictures of moto terminators very carefull you will notice the legs and arms of a new kind of terminator.
Reese is to young to have a significance role in the movie.
He is just rescued from John Conor.
John will discovered that there is something else behind skynet. A human control
