Sydney Pollack is wanting a Recount

une7100.jpgSydney Pollack has suddenly taken a liken to politics it seems. After The Interpreter two years ago looked at political intrigue in the U.N. his next movie Recount is set to re-tell the tale of the 2000 U.S. presidential election.

The movie will follow that famous Florida recount from Election Day through the Supreme Court’s ruling in favour of George W. Bush five weeks later and of course the Western world has been stuck with him ever since.

The movie which will only be shown on HBO, is eyeing up to be released next Spring and will emphasize on the “human drama” aspect of the events.

  1. To the people of the world: On behalf of the citizens of the United States, I sincerely apologize for George Bush.
