The unnecessary Hollywood remake of a Korean horror movie has found it’s male lead. The Bourne Ultimatum star David Strathairn has joined the already cast Elizabeth Banks in the American version of A Tale of Two Sisters.
Strathairn will play a concerned father of two girls who return home after spending time in a mental institution. Once there, they are forced to deal with their stepmother’s (Banks) obsessive and unbalanced ways as well as an interfering ghost.
The Guard Brothers will make their directing debut on the remake.
Strathairn is a “proper” actor shall we say and I like Elizabeth Banks previous works too. Maybe this remake will have some redeeming factor in the acting department?
