I never got into the whole Metal Gear Solid craze that took off around the late 90’s. I think it was because I was always a huge Nintendo or Sega fan when growing up and I adored things like Goldeneye and Mario and the like. I like my cartridges, and suddenly there was this company bringing out cd’s that play video games! HOW DARE THEY?
So yeah, I refused to get a Sony Playstation. I did finally make the switch when the Playstation 2 was launched but by then the whole Metal Gear Solid thing passed me by.
Enough of my back story already but the point is… I’ve hardly played the game so I know very little about it.
Sony have officially announced that they have begun developing a Metal Gear Solid movie. Michael De Luca will be producing the flick, with the video game creator Hideo Kojima acting as executive producer.
It’s one of the biggest video game franchises around, so there’s bound to be a lot of people happy with this news. Could a movie work, what would you like to see incorporated?
