Zack Snyder is not interested in covering the same ground as a director, instead he will now only be producing the zombie flick Army of the Dead hiring commercials and visual effects helmer Matthijs van Heijningen to bring his tale of a zombie attack on L.A. to life.
Warner Bros. are producing the film which was written by the writer/director of the Jessica Alba thriller Awake.

I loved what Snyder did with Dawn of the Dead four years ago but I’m happy to see him move on to other things and give someone else a go. His ads look cool, you can certainly see many theatrical conventions at work in them, I’m hopeful for this one.
