Snakes on a HUMPY DUMPTY

The director of Snakes On A Plane is back, with another movie with another provocative title but an equally terrible concept.

According to Variety, New Line Cinema’s executive executive Mark Ordesky has hired director David R. Ellis to helm Humpty Dumpty, a 3D horror film project about (drumroll please..) a half-human, half-alien creature who embarks on a murderous rampage after his alien mother is abused by two rednecks in the Deep South.

Wow, I could almost swear that The Simpsons already had that plot done in one of their Halloween episodes.

If you ask me, half-man half-creature already sounds like a product of a Southern redneck couple. I’m sure somewhere along the line, we’ll hear the line, ‘I’m your father!’

That said, I think New Line should cut this guy loose. I don’t get the fascination, after Cellular, Final Destination 2 and the upcoming Final Destination 3D, but he keeps making money for New Line. And now they are owned by Warner Bros, they are still willing to see him make nice and profits for them.

Production for Humpty Dumpty begins in September with the script written by Billy Majestic (wow, that last name is so conceited) and I’m Rama Magnificent.
