Silent Hill was a bad movie. Yes it was filled with superb visuals from French director Christophe Gans but just like his move Brotherhood of the Wolf it’s great to look at but rather thin in terms of story.
IGN through Cinematical are reporting that Gans is shopping around his $70 million budgeted video-game adaptation of Onimusha at Cannes, with several studios interested in the project. Master and Commander writer John Collee and Leslie Krueger are said to have written the screenplay.
Onimusha is set in 16th century Japan and follows a young warrior who battles demons as he sets out to save the woman he loves.
Silent Hill, a popular franchise in the Western world went on to make $97 million worldwide so a less popular video game budgeted at around $70 million will be a bit of a risk for whatever studio decides to pick up the project.

ONIMUSHA FILM PRODUCTION.
There was a Japanese film studio called Gaga Communications that has the rights to Onimusha and they still involved but Davis Films Samuel Hadida
is producing the film and Christophe Gans is directing,John Collee and Lesley Kruger are writing the script but it should have the Japanese screenwriters Choko Sakai and Hirohisa Soda involved to write the script.
Takeshi Kaneshiro will be in the film and the production is set in China and Japan plus there will be some other Japanese studio involved to produce the film something like Hicott and Basara Films.
Thank You All.
