The lovely Carice Van Houten has found herself in another movie and another cinematic husband.

We already know that the Black Book star has filmed her role as Tom Cruise’s wife in Valkyrie AND despite The Hollywood Reporter only reporting it now, we’ve known for weeks that she is currently filming her part as Leonardo DiCaprio’s wife in Body of Lies, now comes the news that she will be playing Jude Law’s wife in Universal’s sci-fi thriller Repossession Mambo.

Yes, you remember the movie. It’s the one that sounds a lot like what Darren Lynn Bousmann is doing with Repo! The Genetic Opera….

The sci-fi thriller “Mambo” follows a repo man (Law) made up of artificial organs who struggles to make payments after receiving a heart transplant and must go on the run from his former partner (Forest Whitaker). Van Houten will play Law’s wife.

The film marks storyboard artist Miguel Sapochnik’s directorial debut and it’s an intriguing one for sure.

Jude Law, after an extremely commercial 2004 has kinda gone back to small time, almost Indie and dramatic affairs. If we forget The Holiday (and I bet Jude Law wishes he could) then he has starred in All the King’s Men, Breaking and Entering, My Blueberry Nights and Sleuth… none of which were or are destined to hit the mainstream.

Now comes this movie with a talented cast (Alice Braga is in the movie too) and a studio putting some serious money into a first time director’s vision. Very intriguing indeed.
