Kevin Smith has cast the two leads for his comedy ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO.

KNOCKED UP’s Seth Rogen and the lovely Elizabeth Banks will be the couple who attempt to tackle their financial troubles by starring and filming in their own x-rated porno movie.

I guess the idea being that they are hoping it takes off like a Paris Hilton video.

So once again the hilarious Rogen has landed himself a hot blonde and bubbly partner in a movie after banging Katherine Hiegl in KNOCKED UP. If you haven’t seen the awesome B-movie horror SLITHER then you will have only fallen for his new co-star from her brief scenes in THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN and as secretary Betty Brant in the three SPIDER-MAN movies.

Great to see Elizabeth Banks in a leading role and both actors should do fine with Smith’s dialogue. Rogen in particular has made a career out of shockling frank and blunt dialogue mixed with scenes of genuine affection, something that Smith attempts to play with in every one of his movies.

Best comedy of 2008?
