One of the wackiest movies of 2007 has to be the Bob Dylan biopic I’m Not There which has been co-written and directed by Todd Haynes. For those who haven’t heard of it, the movie is shot in several different styles that matches Dylan’s artistic and personal statements at each given moment with a different actor playing the guy for each segment.

The six actors playing Dylan in the movie are…

Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Cate Blanchett, Richard Gere, Ben Whishaw and Marcus Carl Franklin.

Oh yes, that’s Cate Blanchett playing a man but she’s so out of the world good that no-one is for a second doubting she can do it.

Also in the movie but not playing Dylan himself are Julianne Moore, Michelle Williams, David Cross and Bruce Greenwood.

There’s are interesting clip for the movie that’s leaked over at AICN and this looks like it’s going to be a very strange movie but one you just can’t take your eyes off. Blanchett is superb here and I can’t wait to see what Christian Bale’s take on Dylan is like…
