Who said Martin Scorsese was ready to retire? The legendary director has just signed on a four year deal with Paramount Pictures to produce and direct not only feature films but made for DVD releases and television productions for the studio also.
Marty is currently filming a Rolling Stones documentary in New York which is promised to blend footage from their current tour and historical archive footage and interviews. Scorsese is a life long fan of the Stones and used two of their records in his last movie The Departed, to great effect I might add.
So in those four years we should be able to squeeze two more feature films out of Marty, with his next feature expected to be the Japenese historical epic Silence. A long time discussed Theodore Roosevelt biopic could be other, which has had Scorsese’s boy Leonardo DiCaprio attached in the lead role for quite some time.
