Saw II and III helmer Darren Lynn Bousmann is to re-team with Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures to direct Repo! The Genetic Opera.

In the not-so-distant future when an epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet, scientists gear for a massive organ harvest. A biotech giant comes up with easy organ payment plans, but all financed organs are subject to legal default, including repossession at the hands of repo men.
The movie is set to be budgeted below the $25 million mark, with Lionsgate apparently signing up for the movie after a 12 minute promo reel that was put together by Bousmann in half a day….exactly what happened with the first Saw movie which I don’t need to remind you went on to make $400 MILLION worldwide!
The idea for the flick came when Bousmann directed his first run-theater production of the same name and is being described as marrying elements of the Rock Opera with the Fright genre.
Whatever that means!
