SAW 5 writers have till the end of the month to complete the script!

SawIt would seem that the impending writers strike might have put a little kink in Lionsgate’s annual money making plan for the Saw franchise. According to Darren Lynn Bousman they usually have a script completed by Christmas, with tweaks and re-writings occuring in the New Year before they go out and complete filming before the Summer.

Well of course, with the upcoming writer’s strike… they may not this time have as long as Christmas to complete the script. Infact by the sounds of it, they only have till the end of the month.

David Hackl, the rookie director of Saw V spoke to Shock Till You Drop

“We have about a week to write the outline, then the script by the end of the month. We’re really just throwing down the ideas now and it’s coming together quickly,”

Now I realise that none of the scripts for the Saw series (especially 2 and 3) have been Shakespeare but a couple of weeks is a really short time span to put a script together for anything.

Speaking as someone who is not a fan at all of the Saw series, it’s become pretty evident to me that the franchise is getting worse with each film that is released. The dip in quality was particulary evident in the last movie of the series and with the secracy surrounding Saw IV and the time span they have for Saw V… not to mention that Darren Lynn Bousman won’t be back… are we seeing the beginning of the end for the series?

Saw IV opens in just a few weeks time and it’s void of much competition after the other films in the genre ran away with their tails between their legs and were either released before the Halloween season (Halloween) or were pushed back to next year (Trick ‘R Treat).

The only film that was brave enough to go up against Saw IV was the vampire horror 30 Days of Night which opens next week in the U.S.

why would you make another saw when jigsaw was killed in the last saw that was out. ITs really stupid that they would do that. I would like to talk to one of the writers and ask why would you write another saw why not just let it be jigsaw did some killing got sick and was killed that a good ending to the ending of the series. Its done and now your making another saw what did jigsaw magically come back to life and his throat isnt cut and he isnt dead. Whoever is reading this give me an answer back

i want to see Dr. gordon as the real apprentice. right at the end of saw 6 when the main character is getting out of his/her trap, i would have it so Dr. gordon comes out of like a back room showing he was the real apprentice.

Well i was mislead @ the box of saw iv. I had never seen saw before and the box looked like a half man half pig. Saw’s just not the same without the original jigsaw, the writers have to bring him back to life. I watched a documentary the other day, you can have a transplant of a pigs heart if your heart is failing. Since the pig is a big symbol in saw they could do this or they could take jigsaws brain and put it in a pig. I dnnow. But nether the less saw v is going to be a great film. I think jeffs daughter will also be in it and hopefully dr. gordon comes back too.

Humans.

I must agree with this Nick fellow. I think that Dr. Gordon is Jigsaw because he…did not die in the first movie.

The creators of Saw should make a new machine where it has holes drilled through all the teeth with wire tied through them, then the wires slowly get pulled by a machine which is arms length away (to stop it you must, of course, find the key and unlock the lock to stop the pulling of the wire) whilst the body is chained to a wall around their neck and the human has to find the key. But the key is behind them, since they are chained to the wall they must try and smash the plaster with their fist and search inside the walls. They have…what..2 minutes? Maybe. If they do succeed in the finding of the key then they would be lucky to have survived with some teeth left. And if they do not succeed in finding the key, the chain gets pulled by a lever from the other side of the wall until it chokes them to death. =]

I just thought of all of that on the spot. It is not the greatest idea in the world, any comments or ideas would be good to read. I also have another idea but it involves two humans, the torturer and the victim. The victim is strapped to a table, legs bent so that the knees are up, get a screwdriver and hammer it underneath the kneecaps then slowly lift the screwdriver up until the kneecap pops off. Pleasant.

I do not know why a 15 year old girl would be thinking of these things, nor do I think that I should be…aroused by the series of Saw movies and various other horror and psychological thriller movies.

If you lasted til the end of reading this you must be either bored or…one of the OWF Team humans.

Saw is the awsum and thats putting it modestly. I also think that Dr Gordon is the new apprentice and in Saw 3, Jigsaw says to Llyn Denlon,’I was his patient and he was mine’. Maybe that means that Jigsaw had a robotic foot ready for Dr Gordon and placed it on Dr Gordons foot and Dr Gordon was grateful and decided to help Jigsaw.
