Three more have joined the cast of Lakeshore Entertainment’s feature adaptation of Phillip Roth’s novel The Dying Animal. The movie was previously titled Elegy but according to Variety, it’s now been described as untitled.
Peter Sarsgaard, Dennis Hopper and Deborah Harry have joined the already cast Penelope Cruz, Ben Kingsley and Patricia Clarkson in the erotic drama.
The fictional book is about a literature professor and well renowned radio host David Kepesh (Kingsley) who well into his 60’s, decides to leave his wife and child and become sexually active. A meeting with a young student (Cruz) sends him off the rails as he becomes sexually possessive and jealous.
Really great cast that’s full to the brim of talent then, but quite honestly this movie had my money when Penelope Cruz signed on for a movie described as an erotic drama.
Filming is set to begin next month in Vancouver.
