Sandler, Rogen & Mann to re-team for Judd Apatow’s next directing effort!

Judd Apatow’s casts are becoming as predictable as Kevin Smith’s but they always seem to work well and are funny together, so I’m all for it.

Apatow’s third directing effort after The 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up will begin shooting late summer (or early fall) and will star Seth Rogen and the director’s real life wife Leslie Mann, both of which appeared in the above mentioned movies. Adam Sandler who worked on the script of his upcoming comedy You Don’t Mess With the Zohan with Apatow, is also on board.

The film is a co-production of Universal and Sony Pictures but is currently untitled and the plot a mystery.

I’ll really enjoyed the two directing Apatow efforts so far and it’s pretty obvious that he keeps the best things he writes for himself as opposed to the movies he writers or co-writes and gets someone else to helm. Knocked Up was funny and sweet. The 40 Year Old Virgin was the same. A hat trick would be nice.
