ROBOCOP teaser poster

Not sure why they bother with these teaser posters because they are so rushly put together and often are completely different to the final product that you can’t help but feel that no publicity is sometimes the best publicity.

At the NY Licensing Expo in New York, a teaser poster for MGM’s remake of RoboCop was on display for all to see…

MGM’s remake looks to have also been given the tentative release of 2010 but as far as we know no director has been set as of yet.

REALLY crappy poster!

REALLY crappy idea for a remake!

Remake of *Robocop*????

I’m sure the remake will have all of the gore, ultra violence, sardonic humour, biting satire and career-defining performances that make the original such an enduring classic…

Yes, that was sarcasm. They couldn’t even get the tone of the sequels right at the time. I have the feeling this will make Robocop 3 look like quality entertainment.

for my part, I seek on this poster is the part where man?! I’m very above to see that the film will resembler has it! I turned a film at this time without pretention and I can tell you that 3D is not valid in any case of film, I do not support the realisation of a new virtual robocop, if I want to see a robocop Virtual, then I look at the marvel or alpha commendo. I think domage to see that on the poster, mouth has no caracter, colors resembles a TRON, the value of having a real type in an armor is precisely to resortir the human side in the armor machinal of robocop, something which until now had been more or less by various actors more or less correct in their performence of gestures and interpretation of the character. I practice this costume regularly and I can tell you it is great! I think that MGM should consider the attainment of a real Robocop but finding the right person for the role. I think we should love this suit to make a good robocop, MGM want to sell a product but is it really this pre occupies what the fans want to see? I doubt that Mr Rob Bottin agree the project … when you know that it will become creation of simple 3D images. sure you say they want Veroheven as director, but that happens will realize with a robocop 3d? lol! this is just my opinion on a film that I believe must remain true but not that stupid to become a virtual animated film without a soul or character of a real life image.
weller is perfect, but it does want to do this, it is an actor who want to leave this image of robocop, weller yet remain one who gave the best actor performence and remain the best robocop unfortunately.
I’m really sorry for my poorly grammatical english because i’m french.

when I read what people were saying about Robocop 2010 and we are already in the year 2009, I do not really. Darren Aronofsky supposedly seeking funding for the film. any rumors converge on anything concrete. Darren Aronofsky says he wants to re invent the firm robocops and cyborgs is funny. I am not in agreement, Robocop is a history and a dark character. Robocop do not need a new look or super gadget! he needs to continue to enforce the law. Robocop universe and Original draft written by Frank Miller, Ed Neumeier and Michael Miner are sufficiently rich in details and adventure that Robocop is still good days ahead. While I respect Mr Darren Aronofsky. This is my opinion, everyone was free to believe what he wants on the subject.
