Rob Zombie is still confused and thinks HALLOWEEN falls in August

On Dec. 15th, Rob Zombie was quoted in Variety discussing the release date of his HALLOWEEN sequel, titled H2…

“Now, we’ll be hauling ass, and that’s the problem making a movie called ‘Halloween’: If you come out Nov. 1 or after, nobody cares. If it was called anything else, I’d be fine.”

Which excuse me for being ignorant, I thought hinted that Zombie wanted to rectify the mistake he made in 2007 when he released HALLOWEEN in August instead of October; the holiday the movie revolves around. It’s a change that just seemed to make sense all round.

But according to Shock Till You Drop, Zombie intends to release H2 in August once again, this time on August 28th 2009. The Weinsteins once again don’t fancy fighting the SAW franchise over October.

Also revealed over the weekend was the mask Tyler Mane will once again be wearing…

h2-myers-maskSays Rob Zombie on his blog…

“If you thought Michael was fucked before, you ain’t seen nothing yet! He is bigger, meaner and more psycho than Dr. Loomis ever thought possible,”

Shooting begins in March and five months later the movie will be in theatres. But as Zombie says, presumably no-one cares.
