Not as eye catching or with that great hook/concept that those early trailers for THE PINEAPPLE EXPRESS carried but there’s enough little pieces here to hint at a funny jigsaw when it all gets put together.
The movie is OBSERVE AND REPORT, written and directed by Jody Hill (THE FOOT FITST WAY) and stars Seth Rogen as a mall cop with a crush on Anna Faris.
The trailer isn’t perfect. It’s got some funny lines but then it’s a LONG trailer, which flows by lots of what they deem to be funny dialogue, so one would expect that.
Otherwise it would be PAUL BLART: MALL COP, which thankfully this isn’t.
OBSERVE AND REPORT opens April 10th 2009 (U.S.) with no U.K. date just yet.

I think two films about Mall Cops is enough now thanks everyone. Let’s retire this little sub-genre before someone makes something goddawful, starring an okay sitcom star with a segway fetish with a vaguely vaginal name… oh wait, that was PAUL fucking BLART!
Looks a lot like Cable Guy. And that’s a good thing in my opinion…
