Richard Lepes will direct the indie corporate thriller On the Hook which stars Frank Langella as an energy company whistleblower who hires a private eye to protect him from a killer. Elliott Gould will play the private eye, with Laura Harring also cast.

Vertigo Entertainment are remaking the 2004 Filipino thriller Sigsaw. Jessie Bradford will lead the remake which will be known as The Echo with shooting beginning mid-August.

A movie about the real life story of a father and son who remarkably played on the same college hoops team is being setup at Walden Media.

CASTING

Christina Applegate has been cast opposite Rainn Wilson in the musical themed comedy The Rocker.

An extra on the set of The Dark Knight has sent in a very spoilerish account of yesterday’s filming down in Chicago. There is nothing major revealed, it’s just the extent of the depthness of the report that you should be wary of.  

Russian director Timur Bekmambetov talks a little about his upcoming movie adaptation of the comic book series Wanted to MTV. Among many things, he reveals that Kristen Hager and Konstantin Khabensky have been cast in the movie.
