No that’s not me, unfortunately, as much as I would like to take this beauty for myself.
Rachel McAdams, at one time rumored to be Pepper Potts in IRON MAN (Gwyneth Paltrow’s role) will finally get the chance to show us how much chemistry she can generate opposite Robert Downey Jr. as she has just been cast for the love interest in SHERLOCK HOLMES.
She will play the super sleuth’s enigmatic love interest Irene Adler, a character who dates back to the 1891 novel “A Scandal in Bohemia”, her one and only appearance though The Hollywood Reporter believe her deal here is a multi-film contract.
As we already know Mark Strong will be playing the movie’s villain Blackwood and Jude Law is in talks to play the sidekick Dr. Watson. Holmes’ most famous nemesis Prof. Moriarty MAY yet feature in the film as “the man behind it all” or a small cameo at the end to make way for a sequel.
Joel Silver produces, Guy Ritchie directs for Warner Bros. The new take on the character will depict Holmes’ as more physically apt than ever before and less of the “stiff upper-lip” persona.
