Remember June, when the weather was a lot nicer and everyone was going Transformers crazy?

Well we reported the news that real life couple Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connolly were to team together to star in the very strange sounding claymation horror Born for rookie helmer Daniel Simpson.

The film was said to be about Bettany and Connelly as a couple who became haunted by the claymation dolls they have in their home (Bettany’s character was a claymation artist) which came to life .

Guillermo del Toro and Clive Barker were said to be the producers and I thought it sounded terrificly fun but…

Fangoria have today run a story which says that Bettany and Connelly have not committed to the project, yet. This comes from Connelly herself…

“That was something of a false report,” she says of the couple’s commitment to the film. “We’ve been circling around various different things at different points, and we’d love to work together, but we haven’t settled on anything yet.”

Doesn’t mean the project is 100% dead then?
