POSTER: THE DARK KNIGHT
It was only a couple of weeks go I was moaning because I thought it was about time we had some official artwork and footage for next year’s much anticipated second of probably three Christopher Nolan Batman movies, THE DARK KNIGHT.
Now we’ve had a full length trailer (although bootlegged), a prologue attached to I AM LEGEND, a domestic and international poster and now two more posters to feast our eyes on…
And a really cool and inventive one…
Is this heavy marketing all a bit soon?
The movie doesn’t come out till the back end of July but we are sure being bombarded with stuff at the moment.
Really love the second poster. It’s guaranteed to catch your eye in the movie theatre.
Word is the HD quality trailer will be up on Sunday HERE. Can’t wait.
source - coming soon, allocine, aicn

I like the first poster. Just wish they’d made the title bigger though. Don’t care for the second at all. Looks more like a bastard cousin to the SAW franchise, or some cheesy 90’s horror flick.

Hey, I like the second poster a lot too. The first one is neat, but not as creative.
Oh, and I saw the trailer for Batman on friday when I saw “I am Legend.” It was pretty good, I had a few nitpicks on it, but all in all an appealing trailer.
That and ALSO. It got a STANDING OVATION from 70% of the theater. As soon as the trailer faded out, people stood up and started clapping and cheering. It was the first time I’ve ever seen people cheer and clap after a preview(at a normal movie theater)

Wow, standing ovations are rare in normal cinema’s.
The only one I recall was when the preview I attended for the last STAR WARS movie and to be fair it wasn’t all that great and was more clapping than ovations.
