You know I couldn’t even bring myself to watch Alien vs. Predator. The whole concept of the movie and everything I saw and heard about it just made me feel sick inside so I avoided it like I would an Olsen Twin movie.
Now comes the news that we will have the pleasure of seeing a second helping of Alien vs. Predator with accomplished visual effects artists Colin and Greg Strause helming their first feature.
Reiko Aylesworth (Michelle in 24) and Steven Pasquale (apparentaly a big character in Rescue Me) will be our two leads in peril.
Guys, did any of you see the first movie? Does it really warrant a sequel? I’m guessing the ending of the first battle wasn’t conclusive then if we are going to see them go at it again.
The ONLY thing and I must say I’m really clutching at straws here, but the ONLY thing that grabs my attention slightly is the Strause brothers will probably have a very keen eye for some innovative visuals and camera shots which might be fun to watch.
source - variety, coming soon
well…any fan of either original franchise could write you a book about the problems and shortcomings of AvP. point being though, that at the end of the day, i was entertained. it didn’t even scratch the surface of what it could have been, but hell, who really expected it to? i had fun watching it, and i’ll probably have fun watching the sequel. you just can’t expect it to be as good as either the Predator or the Alien series. seriously, “resurrection” was better then AvP. and that says a lot.

No, Matt, it was not worth the first movie, let alone the second. I rented the first one after it was released on DVD. Atrocious in every respect. The aliens had a gestation period of approximately 3 seconds before they burst out of their hosts. The battles between alien and predator were MTV video-edited to death. Idiotic in every single way.
Yet, it was still better than Alien Resurrection.
