No FURY for Miller

Recent rumours have said that along with the Justice League movie, George Miller also has Mad Max 4 and Happy Feet 2 on his plate.

Don’t get too excited about the seeing the return of Mad Max Rockatansky, as Film Ick reports via Bad Librarianship that the film sadly isn’t happening. Seems the rumours were just that.

Miller and comic book artist Brendan McCarthy penned a fourth installment of the franchise titled Fury Road but there looks to be no movement on the script. Bad Librarianship stated in an earlier post that there were plans to publish the screenplay with storyboards and concept designs should Fury Road ever get made. It doesn’t look like the film will see the light of day (and I think they should only do it if they can get Mel Gibson back) but it would be great to see that Fury Road book anyway.

It’s sad to see that Film Ick will be closing its doors. Brendon Connelly’s site featured some sharp, informative and erudite film commentary. It felt much like a personal blog but that didn’t hold it back in the slightest. Film Ick’s passion for cinema was absolutely clear.

Film Ick, along with the soon to be gone The Movie Blog, will be sorely missed.

  1. Part of me is disappointed that we won’t be seeing Max again. But then again, I was concerned they would not have done it justice.
