Don’t believe everything you read on the web. Dennis Hopper will not be appearing in a Speed 3 movie. The quotes (which absolutely tell us nothing anyway) and written article are obviously from some excitable and ambitious reporter who was desperate to get himself a scoop.
Come on guys, I know it’s been a slow week for news but this is just desperate. I could see a Speed 3 happening sometime down the road BUT IT WON’T BE WITH HOPPER.

Another Speed movie? You know, if the premise behind Flightplan has been the basis for Speed 2 I think it would have been better. Hell, if my kid brother had written or directed it it would have been better.
Maybe they’ll get smart and have John McTiernan direct. He needs the work, and Speed needs a worthy follow-up so they can call it a legitimate franchise.
But they need to have a sequel that lives up to the name. I imagine it’ll HAVE to be a plane, since that’s the ONLY thing they haven’t been speeding on yet. The first movie went from a bus to a train, the sequel was on a boat -why they didn’t jump off was beyond me!
Your right I never thought about that. There is a need for another Speed movie as you say so it can be called a franchise and get it’s own nice and pretty dvd box set.
Any other movie or character that has made it to 2, has that danger too.
