From Variety…
SAG president Alan Rosenberg has announced that not one of the more than 70 actors nominated for a Golden Globe will attend the Jan. 13 ceremonies because of the WGA’s plans to picket the event.
Which basically signals the end of the Golden Globes ceremony currently scheduled to air on NBC on January 13th, with a broadcast that last year attracted some 20 million viewers. I seriously doubt they will go ahead with the embarrassment of no-one in attendance and if a resolution isn’t reached soon, it may signal the same fate for the biggest night on the Hollywood calendar… the Oscars.
If the Globes do go ahead, the it will certainly be the least profiled event in the 65 year history of it’s existence.
