New WANTED trailer, with more curve bullet goodness!

Everytime I see James McAvoy or Angelina Jolie trying to curve the bullet in the trailer for the comic book adaptation of Wanted all I seem to be reminded off is imagining them playing table tennis on the Nintendo Wii.

I don’t think I’m going to like this movie. Reminds me an awful lot of the cartoon action movie that was Shoot Em’ Up but with better looking people, and the boring actor that Morgan Freeman has truly turned into.

Feels a decade too late after The Matrix and it might just be one notch above Jumper in the glossy CGI stakes…

I don’t think McAvoy is right for this material at all and I’m struggling to take him seriously as an action star. Maybe this should have been the action movie that Brad Pitt starred in with Jolie instead of Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

This screams WAIT FOR DVD but for those interested the movie opens on June 27th from acclaimed Russian director Timur Bekmambetov.

i wish i could get excited about this ..but i just can’t.
Isn’t doing anything to me. Morgan Freeman as a kind of Morpheus? Angelina Jolie being sexy? Slow-Mo Action? Three times MEH.

I still feel that these trailers don’t tell what the point of the film is.

I didn’t think the comic was really any good and it looks like the film has captured that perfectly.

Where did McAvoy’s accent go? Suddenly I have to buy that he is from Minneapolis?

Also Shoot ‘Em Up was great. An entirely inappropriate hour and twenty minutes. For what it was, I loved it.

i dug shoot em up , and i really dont see why some would think of that flick when watching the wanted trailer. Besides, shoot em up was with a big effing wink. This looks like they are serious. Which makes me laugh.

I watched it without volume and actually liked it. After all I thought Shhot ‘em Up was brilliant. It was clearly a spoof film, the choreography and imaginitive killing means kept me entertained. Wanted prolly won’t be seen as a serious film, but if you have to be serious all the time, what’s the point of eye candy?

The trailer looks really enticing with some good screenshots and a few amazing effects. There is only one thing that really bothers me, that bullet that cureves. I study engineering and can tell you that bullets ALLWAYS fly straight. This is because if you wanted a bullet to curve you have to apply a constant lateral force to its direction eg. put wings on it or blow it sideways with wind. Curved bullets? I thing this is definitely one for mythbusters. Overall the trailer looks good and if I let my imagination go I am really excited about this film.

Chill out about the curving bullets guys… First of all this movie is based on a comic book… It’s not real… And for what it’s worth the curving bullet effect actually looks pretty sweet!

I really enjoyed Wanted, seen it multiple times. I thought the abilities the actors exibited were over the top but i think they pulled it off, and very well. About the bullet curving, okay so its not realistic, but i personally didnt watch it for its realistic documentary style presentation on physics,…so what if its unrealistic, these types of movies are made so we can step outside of reality for a few hours and witness some kick ass CG just for the simple pleasure of being entertained by “what if”. James, imho, did a great job as Wesley, and although im not familiar with the wanted comics, i have to say that if i ever do come across one i will def. check it out. I for one, loved wanted. To each his own :)
