Nero’s henchman is cast in STAR TREK

Clifton Collins Jr.This might just be the last casting news I discuss on STAR TREK because the roles seem almost filled now.

Character actor Clifton Collins Jr. has been cast in the new TREK film as Ayel, the henchman to the Romulan villain Nero played by Eric Bana says Variety.

Collins Jr. is probably best known for playing the killer Perry Smith in CAPOTE (although I much preferred Daniel Craig’s take on the character in INFAMOUS) and appeared in THE RULES OF ATTRACTION and MINDHUNTERS.

He has also worked with Abrams before in three episodes of ALIAS.

Also confirmed is HOME AND AWAY actor Chris Hemsworth as Kirk’s father as we reported the other day.

Speaking of henchman, I always thought that Ron Perlman did a great job with that role in STAR TREK: NEMESIS but this guy’s take should be different because he hasn’t got the same body build or stature to do that type of performance.
